Our Mission
Patching Associates Acoustical Engineering Ltd. (PAAE) offers specialized consulting services in noise control, acoustics and vibrations. PAAE is a completely independent consulting firm and has no affiliations with suppliers of noise control materials or equipment. This enables PAAE to offer unbiased advice and counsel regarding acoustics, vibration and noise control concerns.
Our Profile
Richard Patching, established the firm in 1988 and incorporated in 1990. Neville Hircock joined PAAE in 1994 bringing a broad acoustical consulting background in the oil and gas industry. PAAE employs seven other people ranging from engineers, technologists and administrative staff. The firm is registered with APEGGA and employees of the firm are registered in Alberta and Manitoba.
In 2005, Neil Morozumi, and Justin Caskey, became partners in PAAE. Both Neil and Justin started with PAAE as Junior Engineers and offer longevity in keeping with PAAE’s commitment to unbiased advice and service.
Experience
The firm completes over 200 projects annually in the industries of oil and gas, mining, transportation, architecture and manufacturing.
The firm owns a variety of Brüel and Kjær precision sound level and vibration measuring equipment including digital real time frequency analyzers, sound level meters, statistical environmental noise level analyzer and SONY DAT audio recording equipment.
Engineering design and analysis are completed in a personal computer environment. The firm uses both commercially available acoustical software packages and specialized software developed in-house.
